[New] Subscriptions Made Smarter: Never Fail To Fulfill A Subscription Order Ever Again

Do subscriptions play an important role in your business? Then this one is for you!

Pulling off a successful subscription-based business model guarantees a reliable revenue stream which is a fantastic way to future-proof your business.

However, you must meet these subscriptions accurately and consistently to avoid losing customers and revenue.

With the new Cogsy + Smartrr integration, you won’t have to worry about this anymore.

Now, you can keep optimal inventory levels across multiple channels and ensure subscriptions are replenished on time.

With this new feature, you can:

Fulfill every subscription order as promised

With this new integration, you'll know exactly how much stock to keep on hand to ensure your most loyal and highest LTV customers receive their items on time.

We'll send you emails and in-app notifications letting you know when a product is at risk of running out of stock, as well as recommendations for how to ensure that subscriptions are fulfilled.

Reduce subscription churn

With this new feature, not only do you ensure every order gets fulfilled, but you enjoy higher retention rates as a result. You'll retain 94% of monthly subscribers (on average) when you fulfill these orders as promised, compared to only 63% doing the same for one-off orders.

Boost your brand’s profits

It is 5x more expensive to acquire new customers than to retain existing ones, especially subscribers.

By keeping your subscription customers happy, you can ensure that reliable revenue keeps coming without spending heavily on acquisition or retention and improve your bottom line as a result.

Want to get started? Follow these steps:

1. Link your Smartrr account to Cogsy via the Integrations page.

2. Once connected, you can manage your subscriptions by going to Product > Replenishment.

3. In the Replenishment tab, you’ll find a display of your replenishment information, including a Subscriptions tab where you will find all information related to your subscription products.

For instance,  you’ll find a list of any SKUs at-risk of going out of stock, and detailed inventory recommendations to fulfill subscription demands.

Start fulfilling your subscription orders confidently with our new Cogsy & Smartrr integration.

If you need help getting started, don’t hesitate to reach out.

👋  Becs, Product Manager at Cogsy.

PS –  We’ve got more for you!

Now you can find your most valuable metrics all in one place with our refreshed Single Product Page view. Find your most important inventory data easier than ever before.

Sell confidently in multiple channels with our new multi-location support feature

Forecast demand by location, prevent stockouts at individual warehouses, and generate more revenue.

Most modern brands don't sell in 1 channel anymore. They’re meeting customers where they’re at — and that’s through multiple channels.

But, to do this efficiently, you need to manage inventory demand effectively across your different channels. (Which can get messy, right?)

No need to worry. With our all-new multi-location support feature, you get a granular view of your inventory levels, replenishment needs, and forecasted demand on a location-specific basis. All without leaving the Cogsy app.

This way, you can ensure you have the right stock at the right location at the right time. So you can always meet customer demand.

With this new feature, you’ll be able to:

Visualize inventory by location

The new multi-location feature surfaces your inventory data in real-time by location. It allows you to see how much of each SKU you have available (as a whole or split by warehouse). All in 1 place.

Want to know how much of your bestseller is in stock at a specific warehouse? We got you covered.

Avoid stockouts (or overstock) in individual warehouses

Cogsy will help you avoid stockouts by forecasting your inventory needs for each individual location.

When it's time to restock, you'll even see at-a-glance:

  • What SKUs need to be replenished
  • How much of each should you order
  • When to place that purchase order
  • Where to send that inventory

Alternatively, find out what needs to be replenished by skimming through the daily replenishment email delivered to your inbox.

Track in-transit inventory

Did you know that with Cogsy, you can track any transfers - or shipments - to Amazon?

But we got news: We’ll soon handle any stock transfers between different locations as well. That way, you know what to transfer between locations when needed.

Multi-location support is all now live within your Cogsy account. Get started by checking out your inventory health snapshot by location by heading to Products > Planning.

You’ll also have access to this multiple-location feature per product. Visit any of your product pages and check out the new section that includes your units on hand and replenishment needs per location.

Start selling more confidently and operate profitably throughout your multiple locations with Cogsy’s support.

If you need help getting started, don’t hesitate to contact our team.

No more missing data, like, ever!

Improve your product data to ensure accurate forecasts and take smarter actions.

You need all your data in 1 place to make accurate forecasts. Missing information —  especially a SKU code or vendor — can set your brand’s future off course.

But thanks to our latest update, you don’t have to worry about that.

Now, every time you connect an integration within your account, you can make sure that all your data gets synced.

Did something go wrong in the data syncing process? No worries — you’ll get an email alert with your data import summary. Plus, an in-app alert so you can quickly fix any errors before it affects your forecasts.

Here’s what these alerts look like:

  • Email alert

  • In-app alert:

Best part? You don’t even need to guess what went wrong during the syncing process.

The in-app alert will tell you exactly how to fix the issue and provide context on why you need the missing information.

Excited to hear your thoughts on the update,

👋 - The Cogsy team

PS: We’ll be publishing the most anticipated Cogsy feature to date in roughly a week. So, stay tuned! 🙌

[New!] Bundles: Greater clarity around future demand

If bundles play an important role in your DTC marketing strategy, we’ve got exciting news for you!

Pulling off a successful bundles strategy isn’t easy from an operational standpoint. To do bundles well, you need complete clarity on how much stock you need in order to:

  1. sell a SKU individually
  2. sell a SKU as part of a bundle

Cogsy now gives you that clarity, so you know the bundle’s future demand and when your reorder points are for SKUs sold as part of a bundle.

Here are some changes you’ll notice within your Cogsy account:

When you’re viewing a bundle parent SKU, the Replenishment widget will redirect you to the individual SKUs within the bundle. You’ll also see a breakdown of the SKUs included within the bundle.

On each SKU’s individual listing, you can also now view breakdowns of bundles within the Replenishment widgets.

The Units target now includes a breakdown of the “SKU target” and the “Bundle target.”

And when it comes to showing how many units you’ve sold, Cogsy now provides a breakdown of the SKU's individual sales and the bundle's sales.

Aside from clarity from a replenishment point of view, you can now easily view historical sales and forecasted future demand, split between the bundle and the single SKU.

For each SKU that’s part of a bundle, you’ll now see a new graph representing the historical sales and future demand, with the bundle data stacked on top of the single SKU data.

Because better data enables better planning.

Within Cogsy, view what you’ll need to order for the coming months and prepare accordingly.

We’re working hard to surface more insights, so you can reach your revenue goals with confidence.

More growth, less stockouts.

Stay tuned! More product updates and improvements in the coming weeks.

[Added!] Visualize the estimated product costs that power your growth plans

Now, you'll know how much working capital you'll need available to achieve your growth plans.

Because cash flow is crucial to your growing business.

Cogsy can now help you plan better by telling you how much working capital you’ll need for your inventory for the next 12 months.

When issuing POs, your team needs to know how much working capital is required to order the recommended amount. Now, you can make decisions about whether to order less stock more regularly in order to have more cash on hand.

Product cost is supported by the following integrations:

  • Shopify
  • Skubana
  • Cin7
  • Fulfil
  • ShipBob

For both Purchase Orders and Production Orders, you’ll get estimated product costs for all the items within your order.

We’ll also estimate how much working capital you’ll need for the inventory you’ll sell for individual months.

There’s more where this came from!

We’ll be pushing new product updates and improvements in just a few days.

Stay tuned!

[New!] Keeping your data clean by archiving SKUs

You can now archive SKUs to help optimize your future planning!

When it comes to inventory forecasting, what do you do with products you no longer sell? You don’t want them skewing your forecasts and calculations, that’s for sure.

That’s why we’ve just added the ability to archive a SKU.

This new feature will make it easier for you to keep your product catalog organized and tidy, which leads to more accuracy in your forecasts and better planning.

Within Cogsy, you can now flag a SKU for archiving, so that it is excluded from all visualization and calculations.

Here's how it works:

To archive a SKU, simply go to the Products listing page, click Settings, select the SKUs you wish to archive, and click "Archive".

As always, you have complete control over this. You can always unarchive a SKU if you need to, by going to the "Archived" section and clicking the "Unarchive" button.

All archived SKUs are automatically hidden from your list of products, your dashboard, purchase orders, production orders and your replenishment alert emails.

We've made it easy to keep your data squeaky clean and your plans on point.

And there's more where this came from!

Stay tuned for those to be announced in the coming weeks.

If you need any help with your data or archiving a SKU, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help!

Add more detail to your Marketing Events!

We've just added the ability to assign a label to your marketing events for better planning.

You never want to go out of stock during an important sales event.

Factoring your marketing events into your inventory plan is crucial to making sure you stay in stock during your most important campaigns and promos.

With Cogsy’s marketing events calendar, DTC brands ensure their purchase orders reflect the extra stock they’ll need to support their marketing events and grow their brand's revenue.

Each marketing event includes important inputs like your expected sales increase and which SKUs will be affected, all to help avoid missing out on revenue during unexpected stockouts.

Now, you can add new a label to your marketing events.

The new labels are:

  • Email Campaign
  • SMS Campaign
  • Product Launch
  • New Ad Campaign / Creative
  • TV Campaign

For each marketing event, you can choose whichever label fits best.

When you fill your marketing calendar with your campaigns and events, this is what it will look like:

Each of the marketing events you include in your calendar will help ensure your purchase orders (POs) and forecasted inventory is optimized to keep you in stock and keep your customers happy!

This is now live within your Cogsy account. Within the Planning section, head to Marketing Events to start adding labels to each of your campaigns.

And there’s more where this came from.

Stay tuned for more product updates and improvements in the coming weeks!

Solved! Product Syncing for mapping + merging SKUs

Improve your product data to unlock better insights and take smarter actions!

Today, we’re excited to announce a new feature within Cogsy: product syncing.

This feature will allow you to sync products from different sources and consolidate your data within Cogsy. You can map or merge SKUs to each other, making it easier to keep your product data clean.

Syncing products from multiple sources builds a bigger, clearer profile of each of your products—sales history, metadata, and more—scattered across multiple sources.

Because cleaner data will unlock even better insights for your business.

Sync products from different sources

We know that keeping track of your product data can be a challenge, and we’re always looking for ways to make your team's life easier. With our new product syncing feature, you can now ensure that your data is organized the way you want it, with minimal effort.

You can now sync your data between multiple SKUs, making it easy to keep track of your inventory even if you have different products spread across different platforms, Shopify stores, or systems.

All while giving you the power to determine which is the default source for product data.

Map and merge SKUs

We've also added support for mapping or merging SKUs due to historic SKU changes or different SKU id on different sources.

To get started, simply go to Settings in the Products section and select the SKUs you want to map or merge. Once you’ve selected the SKUs, you can choose how you want to sync them:

  1. map them so they share the same data, or
  2. merge them so they have separate data.

This helps bridge the gap for creating purchase orders (POs) more easily, no matter where your product data lives.

Inventory count

Within this new feature, you can now specify how you want to use the inventory quantities from each product source they sync from. You can either:

  1. Sum inventory quantities from all sources
  2. Use one of the sources as the source of truth for inventory quantity

You will set that here:

This will help you keep a more accurate count of your inventory, tailored to your brand's specific setup.

Product syncing is now live for you to use within your Cogsy account.

Stay tuned for two new integrations coming soon!
