🐎 The Maiden Stakes - May 21-22, 2023 UTC 🐎
The Maiden Stakes will be returning Monday, May 21 UTC. We’ve made some adjustments to qualifying based on community feedback.
- Utilising 6 racehorse qualifying events (Breed 3.0 with < 21-lifetime races)
- Reducing number of races required to qualify to 3
- Posting size of tournaments ahead of time
- Extended qualifying by 24 hours to ensure ample time to compete
Eligibility
Racehorses must be either:
- Unraced Breed 3.0 as of the beginning of the tournament
- Bred during the tournament qualifying window
Details
- First Two Scoring
6 racehorse free qualifying events
- Breed 3.0 with less than 21 races
- Average of all scores with 3 races minimum required to qualify
- Top 2 Finals payout distribution
- 6 racehorse final rounds
- 100x total finals multiplier
- The finals will all run at the following distances: Sprinter: 1000m, Midrunner: 1600m, Marathoner: 2200m
- Last day for prize pool contributions is May 20, 2023
- Current prize pool sits at $42k USD
Qualifying
Racehorses must race their Griffin race (first race) during the qualifying window
- As Griffin races are not segmented according to racehorse level, they do not count for qualification for both points or number of races run
- All qualifying races following the placement into the class system based on level will count towards qualification
- Griffin races will be 6 racehorse events
Qualifying races will be Conditional Class-Based Free 6 Racehorse Events
- Breed 3.0 with less than 21 races
Number of rounds will vary by tournament size per distance category
- Class 1: This tournament will have 3 rounds, with 6 racehorse final events and 3 racehorses advancing within each round (24 total qualifiers per distance category)
- Classes 2 through 5: These tournaments will have 4 rounds, with 6 racehorse final events and 3 racehorses advancing within each round (48 total qualifiers per distance category)
- Class 6: This tournament will have 2 rounds, with 6 racehorse final events and 3 racehorses advancing within each round (12 total qualifiers per distance category)
