🏆 Tournament Updates: Introducing Weekly Maidens, Premiers Segment Changes and Racing Fees... 🏆
🐴 What 🐴
- Commencing Monday, July 17 at 00.01 AM UTC, Maidens will be held every week
- Weekly Maidens will utilise new conditional races for early-stage racehorses (any breed type with less than 21 races)
- Free to enter, they are designed to propel new racehorses into racing
- Racehorses in the Weekly Premiers will be segmented by lifetime races
- Weekly Premiers will begin one day after the Maiden Stakes, so we can make adjustments to the Paid Racing lobby
- From Tuesday, July 18, 2023, a 10% racing fee will be implemented across paid racing.
- The racing fee will be split 50/50 with 5% going back into the Treasury.
🤔 Why 🤔
- The introduction of free weekly Maidens brings more opportunity to racehorses in the early stages of ZED RUN, delivering an ultra-competitive and deservedly rewarding experience
- Segmenting racehorses by lifetime races ensures greater utilisation of the Treasury and fair rewards throughout the racehorse’s career
- The 10% racing fee, combined with Treasury additions, will contribute to the sustainability of ZED RUN and just as importantly, the expansion of all prize pools.
- We initially intended to implement these changes alongside the introduction of 'Sit n Go' tournaments as discussed on ZED Pulse Ep #3. However, due to consistent participation in paid races, driven by the Weekly Premier system, we have decided to sustain these prize pools organically from Tuesday, July 18.
🔥 Impact 🔥
- These changes aim to provide engaging racing experiences, fair rewards, and a thriving ecosystem for all participants.
- The Treasury portion of racing and breeding fees will be incorporated into sustainable prize pools naturally.
