Upcoming Changes Commencing March 4
Let’s shake things up for the March 4 tournament schedule! In light of all of the upcoming changes to the game, we’ll be making a few tweaks.
Removal of the <250 and <500 lifetime race segments
These segments were originally added to increase competition in Class 1 and not constrain horses solely to level brackets. The rebalancing of Class 1 means the <100 segment is about discovering your horse. As level differences have less impact, the unconditional segment is more accessible than before and no longer a point to bench your horse.
Benefits
- Simpler racing lobby
- Races should fill quicker
- Less diluted tournament prize pools
Expanded race availability through horse discovery
As you progress through the racing segments and discover more about your horse, the race options available to you expand. For example:
<21 = 6-gate, Top 2s
<100 = 12-gate, Top 3s + 12-gate, Double Ups
Unconditional = Top 3s, Double Ups, Winner Takes All, with 12 and 6 gates, plus 1v1s
(Entry fee tiers would also expand through the segments)
Benefits
- A logical journey through horse discovery
- Helps <100 race conditionals fill more quickly
- Horses can reach the unconditional segment quicker to compete for the biggest prizes
ZED Token paid racing
Entry, prize pools and payouts for all paid races, including Sit and Go’s, will be in ZED Token. This cements the ZED Token as the racing currency of the game.
Benefits
- Maximise ZED Token utility
