Extended data retention: New option to archive a user and keep their data
We’re excited to announce a new feature in Time Doctor that will make it easier to manage your user accounts - the ability to archive users and retain their data, instead of deleting them.
This new feature not only empowers you to preserve vital work records for auditing or legal scenarios, but it also ensures that your project hour totals remain accurate, even if an employee leaves. Essentially, you now have the power to maintain a clearer and more comprehensive data trail for a full two years.
Archiving a user is simple - simply go to the user list, select the user you want to archive, and click the “archive” icon.
Archived users can be shown in reports.
We've also added an option to permanently delete the data. To ensure you make the right choice for your needs, we encourage you to read about the differences between these two options and learn how to use them effectively here.
