Warning for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera users

If you are using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera or Arc, you may experience issues with real-time data updates in Emlid Flow 360 or app crashes.

Why is this happening?

These browsers are all based on Chromium, and its latest version was released with a bug that affects real-time data sync technology used in Emlid Flow 360.

Your data is safe and you can continue working in Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360. The data will be synced as usual, but to see the new data in the affected browsers, you'll need to refresh the page.

We've reported the issue to the Chromium dev team, but unfortunately we can not fix the problem on our end. We'll be closely monitoring their progress and act accordingly.

What to do now?

As a temporary measure, we recommend using a non-Chromium browser: Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

As soon as the issue is resolved, we'll let you know. If you have more questions, please reach us at support@emlid.com.

Setting rules for data collection in Emlid Flow

Emlid Flow now supports the new data collection rule. In the Survey tools, you can set a precision limit for horizontal and vertical data in addition to the FIX only rule. This is especially useful if you have strict requirements for the project accuracy. The rule allows you to eliminate manual accuracy monitoring.
Collect rules are available with both the Free and Survey Plan in Emlid Flow.
For more information, check out our guides on Point collection and Line collection.

Stakeout reports in Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360

When you stake out points with Emlid Flow, you can now save them and export a stakeout report. The report includes information about the deltas between the design and staked points coordinates. It’s useful for proving the quality of staking, monitoring existing structures, and providing cut and fill measurements.
The new feature is available with the Survey Plan in Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360. Explore the detailed guide for working with stakeout reports in our Docs.

Meet the new Inverse and Traverse tools in Emlid Flow 360

The long-awaited coordinate geometry descriptions are now available in Emlid Flow 360.

Inverse tools allow you to calculate data of existing geometry, including distance, azimuth, perimeter, area, and more.

With Traverse tools, you can easily create new geometry with given distances, azimuths, and height differences.

No more calculations in third-party software. All data is accessible directly from the project in Emlid Flow 360, and everything you do is shown on the map.

Inverse and Traverse tools are available with the Survey Plan in Emlid Flow 360. Check it out with a free 30-day trial.

Stay tuned for the next updates in Emlid Flow 360 and Emlid Flow mobile app.

Understanding localization: how to define a local coordinate system by known points

Not sure how the localization feature can benefit your projects? Localization in Emlid Flow is handy when you need to survey a site without accurate coordinate system parameters, or with none at all. It can help you calculate or adjust local CS parameters and enable you to survey the area with high accuracy.

Check out our blog article to know what exactly localization is, how you can benefit from it, and how it works in Emlid Flow.
