Hey everyone!

We’re excited to announce that you can now input pre-calculated localization parameters when setting up a custom coordinate system in Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360. This option can also be useful for countries such as Austria, whose coordinate system also uses Horizontal & Vertical adjustment parameters.

This means you no longer have to go through the re-localization process for your projects—just enter the parameters provided by your local authorities or other software:

1. Begin setting up a custom coordinate system as you normally would.
2. Enter the horizontal adjustment parameters after configuring transformation parameters.
3. Enter the vertical adjustment parameters after selecting the geoid model.

Earthwork is now easier with the surface tool in Emlid Flow. Simply import your surface model in LandXML format into Emlid Flow 360 and stake it out in Emlid Flow. Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360 now support extended metadata for collected points. This will be especially useful for those who need to create extended survey reports. For example, sometimes you need to include not only the accuracy values but also the data on the satellites used.

Find the following data in the exported projects:

• GDOP,
• NTRIP mount point info,
• number of satellites for each constellation.

The long-awaited Auto collection mode in Emlid Flow is here! The new feature allows you to quickly survey a large number of points on the go and get rid of manual measurements at each point. Now, you can survey roads, coastlines, or trenches with less time and effort. Simply pick up your time or distance interval for auto collection in the Settings settings, then walk or drive with your Reach, while Emlid Flow collects data for you.

You can work in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera or Arc browsers again without any issues!

Recently we've informed you about some problems with real-time data updates in Emlid Flow 360 in Chromium based browsers.

Now we're happy to inform you that the Chromium dev team has just released a new version that fixes this issue and we have updated our app accordingly so that you can work in any convenient browser.

If you are using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera or Arc, you may experience issues with real-time data updates in Emlid Flow 360 or app crashes. 

Why is this happening?

These browsers are all based on Chromium, and its latest version was released with a bug that affects real-time data sync technology used in Emlid Flow 360. 

Your data is safe and you can continue working in Emlid Flow and Emlid Flow 360. The data will be synced as usual, but to see the new data in the affected browsers, you'll need to refresh the page. 

We've reported the issue to the Chromium dev team, but unfortunately we can not fix the problem on our end. We'll be closely monitoring their progress and act accordingly.

What to do now?

As a temporary measure, we recommend using a non-Chromium browser: Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

Great news for users of Emlid Studio drone data processing. The new version of Emlid Studio supports XMP image metadata. This data describes the orientation of the drone camera and includes roll, pitch, and yaw angles. The new feature helps to improve your data accuracy and compatibility with various photogrammetric software.

Emlid Flow now supports the new data collection rule. In the Survey tools, you can set a precision limit for horizontal and vertical data in addition to the FIX only rule. This is especially useful if you have strict requirements for the project accuracy. The rule allows you to eliminate manual accuracy monitoring.
Collect rules are available with both the Free and Survey Plan in Emlid Flow.

Check out the new import/export format in Emlid Flow 360. We now support the KML files used in Google Earth and various Earth-based browsers, including ArcGIS Earth and ArcGIS Pro.
You no longer need to convert KMLs to other formats—simply import or export your files in Emlid Flow 360. This feature is available in both the Free and Survey plans.

You can now change the coordinate system of your project by selecting the new CS in the Edit menu. All existing points will be recalculated, and new points will be collected in the new CS.
Use this feature to simplify your workflow when you need a coordinate system converter or when the coordinate system was set up incorrectly.
This feature is available for both Free and Survey plans in Emlid Flow 360.
