🗺️ Product Update: Set Default Map Location by User in SitePad CRM

ou can now control where maps open by default for each user in SitePad CRM.

✅ What’s new

In Settings > Users > [Select User], you can now set exact Latitude and Longitude coordinates for each user. Note: This can only be populated by Admin users.

Once saved, all map views for that user will automatically default to that location, including:

  • Site maps
  • Lead maps
  • Task maps

This is perfect for teams working in specific regions, reducing the need to constantly pan and zoom to the right area.

📍 Example coordinates

You can use the following as an example:

  • Latitude: 55.08850460
  • Longitude: -1.61009360

🧭 How to get your Latitude and Longitude

Here are two easy methods:

Option 1: Using Google Maps (desktop or mobile)

  1. Go to https://maps.google.com
  2. Find the location you want as the default
  3. Right-click on the exact spot (or tap and hold on mobile)
  4. Click the numbers at the top of the menu
  5. The latitude and longitude will be copied to your clipboard
  6. Paste them into the Latitude and Longitude fields in SitePad

Example format you will see:
55.0885046, -1.6100936

Just split them into:

  • Latitude = first number
  • Longitude = second number

Option 2: Using an address

  1. Search for the address in Google Maps
  2. Click on the map pin
  3. The coordinates will appear in the info panel or in the URL
  4. Copy and use those values in SitePad

🔧 Where to set it in SitePad

Go to:
Settings > Users > Select User > Map Defaults (Latitude / Longitude)
Enter the values and save.

That’s it. From now on, that user’s maps will always open in the right region. 🌍
