The new announcement banner gives you the opportunity to lead with any message of your choosing; along with an optional call-to-action button.

The best part of this feature is its flexibility. It works great if you've got a new product you want to highlight. But there could be many other reasons too:

• Announce a new sale or discounted range
• Preview a unreleased product
• Notify your customers of an upcoming event 
• Ask for feedback and link to a survey

Ultimately, it's up to you. You can update the banner at any time from Settings -> Configure Store. You'll also be able to show/hide as you wish.
