• You can now bulk download content from Review Links when download permissions are enabled. Clicking the Download icon will now open a dropdown menu with the following options: 

  • Download via Desktop App – Supports folder and file download
  • Download via Browser  – Supports file download only (folder download requires the desktop app). 

• We've improved the document review experience by upgrading to the latest version of PDFTron WebViewer, featuring enhanced functionality and design improvements, including:

  • New Controls Panel: Easily adjust page transitions, orientation, and layout.
  • New Note Tool: Flag specific spots for better collaboration.
  • New Callout Feature: Add directional arrows with text for clear annotations.  
• In the Versions panel, the "Remove Versions" option has been renamed to "Delete Versions" to better reflect the permanence of this action. To prevent accidental deletions of version files, selecting this option now triggers a confirmation modal requiring users to type "DELETE" before proceeding. 

• When creating password-protected presentation links, users can now reveal the password they are entering by clicking the eye icon. This is on par with the functionality that currently exists when creating password-protected review links. Please note that for security purposes, password reveal is only available upon link creation and not available when editing presentation settings.
• We’ve updated the empty state of the comment drawer to provide a more contextual prompt for leaving feedback. Applicable for video, audio, and archive assets in Review Mode and feedback-enabled review links. 
• For security purposes, we removed the ability for users to reveal passwords when editing password-protected review links. Users who forget the initial password will need to create a new one. 

• New Drop Frame (DF) timecode option in the video player: For playback of video files with fractional frame-rates (29.97 fps or 59.95 fps), users will now be able to apply the new Drop Frame timecode in the video player.
• Ability to clone playlists: Admins can now clone any playlist on a workspace, while users/managers will be able to clone playlists that they have created. Stay tuned for updates in January where we'll expand this functionality to allow users to clone playlists created by others.

• Admins can now opt in for regular usage emails: Admins can now opt in to receive regular usage emails via the Usage tab of Administration. These emails include: 

  • Weekly Usage Digests: A summary of plan details including current usage, storage remaining, current user count, and number of available user seats remaining 
  • Storage Alerts: Notifies when workspace storage is approaching or exceeds its limit
• Updated delete modal for projects/folders/files: To safeguard against accidental deletions of projects, folders, and files, we’ve restored the confirmation modal that requires users to type out ‘Delete’ in order to complete the action. 
• Higher resolution proxy playback is now supported in Spotlights: Depending on the specs of the video file, you will now be able to adjust the playback quality via the player in Spotlight as you are able to in Review Mode. 
• Spotlights are now viewable directly in the desktop application as opposed to loading in a separate browser window. Additionally, you can bypass desktop log in by pasting a Spotlight URL into the desktop app login page (this functionality previously applied to review link URLs only). 

MediaSilo now supports higher resolution proxies. During in-app playback, you can now toggle between multiple resolutions for an optimized review experience. Based on the video file uploaded, available resolutions may include 720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K, and Original. 

• You can now transition more seamlessly from web to desktop when viewing Review Links. By pasting the review link URL into a new field in the desktop app login page, you can bypass login friction and access content faster and more reliably. Functionality applicable for public/password-protected review links. 

• When you download files from a Review Link in your web browser, a panel now opens on the right side of the page to show you the download progress. 
• We resolved an issue with bulk adding users to a distribution list. From the Users page in Administration, you can now add as many as fifty users to a distribution list at once. 
• If you only have upload permission in a project, you can now upload folders to that project, in addition to individual files. 
• The pages in a watermarked document now load properly after the document has been open for more than half an hour. 
• We fixed a bug to ensure you can edit Review Links that previously contained watermarked content, even after watermarking is turned off for your account. 
• Finally, we clarified the description of the “Only Allow Templates'' option (Administration > SafeStream > Watermark Settings). Selecting this option will have two effects: (1) Workspace users cannot create custom watermark templates in Projects; instead, they must select one of the templates created in Administration. (2) To apply forensic watermarking to a project, a user will need to choose a visible video watermark template first. 

• As an administrator, you can now create and manage your own API keys directly from the Profile page. Just click your avatar in the bottom left, select My Profile, and visit the new “API Keys” section. Click here to learn more. 
• We improved the experience around viewing comments with annotations. Now, when you click on a comment in the comments section, the video player will display the corresponding annotation only; annotations from other comments at and around the same timecode will be filtered out. 
• When viewing a longer comment on a document or image file, clicking the “more” button now displays the rest of the comment. 
• In the Sent Links tab, clicking the View button on an empty Review Link will no longer result in a blank page. Instead, you’ll see a message indicating the link is empty. 
• We fixed a bug that prevented you from deleting a comment in a Review Link if that comment was made in Projects via Review Mode. 
• On the Projects home page, sorting projects by size is working properly again.
• When you open and play a video in Projects, playback now continues uninterrupted even if the gallery below the video player hasn’t finished loading. 
• After you delete users in bulk from Administration, the updated user list automatically appears. Before, deleting thirty or more users at once would display the message “No users found” until you refreshed the page. 

• We fixed a bug affecting the search bar in Projects and Insights. As you start typing a search term, clicking on a text suggestion now searches for that suggestion. 
• Dragging a file into the Sent Links tab will once again add the file to the Review Link you selected, instead of replacing the contents of the link. 
• We resolved an issue with workspace-level watermark preferences. Now, if an administrator requires that new projects have forensic watermarking, then forensic watermarking will be applied to new projects whether or not visible watermarking is also required. 
• In the MediaSilo desktop app, the option to download files using asset titles or filenames is now available for folders. Just click the three-dots button on a folder to view your download options. As an administrator, you can make these options available under Administration > Settings > General. 
• When you opt to download a file with its asset title, the MediaSilo desktop app will now apply your naming preference. Before, the file would be downloaded with its original filename. 
• In the MediaSilo panel for DaVinci Resolve Studio, you can once again import comments as markers, even if two or more comments were made at the same timecode.

• When you export comments as a TXT file, you can once again import the comments into Avid Media Composer as markers. 
• We now support a plain-text preview of HTML, SCC, SRT, and VTT files. 
• If a project has hundreds of users assigned to it, the full list of project team members is now displayed in both the Team tab and the Manage Project Team window. 
• We fixed a bug that prevented some users from deleting folders while in list view.

• We fixed a bug that affected first-time users as they accessed MediaSilo using a social-auth option like “Sign in with Apple.” Now, you can finish setting up your new profile whether or not you upload a profile image. 
• Immediately after you turn on MFA for your user profile, you can continue sharing, downloading, and accessing files in Review Mode without needing to refresh the page. 
• In Review Links, we fixed a visual defect that could cause the Clear Range button to overlap with the “Leave a comment” window. 
• When reviewing files, the comments section can now load as many as one thousand comments. 
• If you are not logged in to MediaSilo, attempting to comment on a file gives you the option to log in or to create a user profile for reviewing files. For anyone choosing the second option, we updated the messaging to make it clear you are just creating a reviewer user, not a user account with access to a MediaSilo workspace.
