Sharing Improvements in Shift GO
May 26th, 2022
Today's release revamps the sharing experience in our mobile app. For the browser and desktop versions of Shift, we fixed Spotlight bugs and made improvements to the Share window, so it's easier to add recipients and control access to your Review Links.
What’s New
- We updated the Share feature in the Shift GO mobile app to better align with the look and functionality of the desktop experience. Open a project and tap the paper-airplane icon in the bottom right to start sharing.
Fixes and Improvements
- When you send a Review Link to workspace users, the checkbox next to "Only send link to new recipients" is now unchecked by default. This way, recipients will receive your link, and you only need to click this checkbox when adding new recipients.
- The Recipients field in the Share window now expands to contain more names and email addresses.
- When you edit a Review Link by adding an email watermark or restricting access to workspace users, we now clear out the Recipients field, so you can specify who gets access to your link.
- If you access the Share window on a smaller screen, you can now scroll down to view the entire expiration-date calendar and save your changes.
- In the Review Link information window, long titles no longer overlap with the “X” button.
- If you have access to a file in Projects, you can now export the comments visible in Review Mode. Before, the export option was only available to administrators.
- When you click the three-dots button on a folder in Projects, “Add to Bin” is now listed in the options menu. Before, this option only appeared if you right-clicked on a folder.
- The right-side drawer in Insights is now scrollable, so your analytics are never cut off.
- The “Tabs” element in Spotlight no longer reverts to three tabs if you are only using one or two tabs.
- When you search for a folder in a Spotlight gallery, the folder and its contents are now displayed properly.
- This release also fixes a bug affecting certain playlists created within the Spotlight template builder. If you enable downloading on the playlist, the download button is now displayed on the playlist files.
