From SHIFT to .t-n
This time we're not adding a new function, but removing one instead âšī¸ but don't worry, it's all for the sake of simplicity đ
If you've been building your Actual's reports on Abacum, you've probably already used the function SHIFT in case you wanted to retrieve the value of a previous period of another variable -> this is especially useful to get the BoM by referencing the last EoM of the MRR or the Cash flow for instance.
But starting today, we are no longer using and you can now use SHIFT(Variable, n)Variable.t-nÂ
We made this shift of letting go of the SHIFT (đ), and replacing it with ".t-n", to make it easier for you to reference past results in the Actuals formulas, and to merge with the Versions' formula syntax that was already using it đ
