Introducing the Relative Time Frame

What?

Allowing you to generate any possible time frame by using the new Relative time frame. From now on, you'll be able to create custom time frames by selecting a relative start and end dates, choosing data granularity (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, or Total), and specifying versions for future estimates. For example, some of the time frames we are unblocking are the following:

  • Total of last 12 months
  • Next 4 quarters by quarter
  • WFC/FYE for next 2 years by quarter
  • Last 3 years by months

Why?

Until now, you couldn't replicate all your reports because our time frame options were too limited. While we had some preset options, you couldn't really customize them to fit your reporting needs. In addition, we are simplifying time presets so that there are only two: relative & fixed.

How does it work?

Creating a new time frame is now simple and intuitive. When clicking on “+” or “Add new time frame", you'll be able to select a preset from the list and customize it as needed.

  • Select the start and ending month/quarter/year based on your last month of actuals
  • Easily add and subtract periods to both the start and end dates
  • The selected time range is displayed clearly, allowing you to see the chosen start and end dates at a glance.
  • Choose how to break down your data → By month, quarter, year or total
  • Select versions as Estimates
