Manual Input Panel in the Module Builder

Introducing our latest modeling improvement in Abacum: The manual input panel 🧮

Now when in the module builder, simply double/right-click on any manual input line to instantly access the panel and start inputting your forecast and budget values - no need to drill-down to the lowest dimension level anymore to add manual inputs!

Inside the panel, you’ll find a tabular table displaying all dimensions with actuals/forecast values. You can filter dimensions to easily focus on the specific items you wish to edit.

And that's not all – to enhance even more the input experience, we offer multiple input types:

  • Monthly (calendar): Input values directly in any month of every year of the forecast or budget version.
  • Start/End date: Select a start and end date (optional) to assign a value "1" to every month that is between that period range. This input type is mainly useful for headcount planning, as it behaves similarly to the SUMACTIVE function.
  • Yearly: Input a single annual value. This will be divided by 12 and added to every month of the version. This input type is particularly useful to distribute yearly salaries, annual contract values, and more.
  • Constant: Input a single monthly value. This will be assigned to every month of the version. This input type is particularly useful to distribute monthly salaries, growth rates, etc.

Finally, besides the Module Builder, the Manual Input Panel will soon be implemented on Tables in Spaces so any Budget Owner user can enjoy this seamless forecasting experience 🚀
