Automatically Disable Inactive User Accounts
Improve account security by disabling long-inactive users automatically.
BlueConic can now automatically disable user accounts that have been inactive for a defined period of time. This helps reduce security risk by ensuring long-inactive accounts don’t remain enabled indefinitely.
A new “Disable inactive accounts” setting is available under Inactivity settings. When enabled, customers can configure inactivity thresholds between 1 and 365 days, with a default of 90 days. The feature is turned off by default and can be managed per tenant as a self-service setting.
Disabled accounts can still be manually re-enabled by users with the appropriate permissions, preserving operational control while strengthening security across both UI and API usage within the Customer Growth Engine.
Benefits:
• Improves security by automatically disabling long-inactive accounts
• Gives teams direct control over inactivity-based account management
• Applies consistently across UI and API activity
• Preserves manual enable and disable workflows for authorized users
