Use your own recommendation models across events and data processors

Apply custom recommendation logic wherever you activate recommendations.

BlueConic now supports bring your own recommendation models in Recommendations as an event and the Recommendations data processor. This expands where custom recommendation logic can be used, especially in scenarios where standard Dialogues aren’t a fit.

With this update, models of type recommendation appear in the algorithm list, using the same selection flow as dialogues. Teams can use event-based recommendations for custom frontends (such as React), controlled rendering setups, or mobile apps. The recommendations data processor also supports custom models, making it easier to send recommendation data to your email service provider and render recommendations directly in HTML email templates.

This added flexibility helps teams apply consistent decisioning logic across more activation paths — supporting faster execution and greater control.

Benefits:
• Apply your own recommendation models in events and data processors using the same selection flow as Dialogues
• Support custom rendering for modern web frameworks and mobile apps
• Send recommendation data to ESPs for HTML-based, device-aware email templates
• Extend recommendation usage beyond standard Dialogues without added complexity
