Ternary can now surface Google BigQuery cluster and partition recommendations for improved cost efficiency and performance. To take advantage of this enhancement, please update your Ternary Custom Role permissions to the latest version.

We have updated the forecasting engine to allow you to set the lookback range from 30 to 180 days of historical data directly from the Ternary UI. This new dropdown can be found in the selection bar next to measures and groupings. Changes to the lookback range will reload data in the forecasting meters, chart, and table. Additionally, the chart now includes a new filter option to view data either from the current month or across the entire lookback range.

We have updated the forecasting engine to interpret absent data (implicitly zero data) as explicitly zero data when generating a linear regression model used to forecast measures. This adjustment minimizes the impact of a small number of irregular charges on the model.

Breakpoints allow you to divide the time period within a Ramp Plan for easier forecasting and benchmarking. With this release, you can now toggle on the ‘Populate Historical Cost Data’ option when creating a new Ramp Plan. This will automatically generate monthly breakpoints starting from your earliest commitment period start date, using actual cost data.

We’re excited to announce that we have extended the widget limit on dashboards! Previously, dashboards were restricted to 12 widgets, but now you can create custom dashboards with up to 16 widgets.

We’re pleased to introduce a new Settings tab within MSP Customer Management. MSP Admins can now choose to disable the visibility of cloud configuration and optimization recommendations for all customer tenants. This enhancement increases MSPs' control over customer management. 

Within the Admin panel, under Custom Labels, each custom label tile now includes an info icon. Hovering over this icon will display information about who created and/or updated that specific custom label.

Note: Custom labels created before this release will remain blank, as we will not retroactively populate them.

We have enhanced the Azure cloud configuration process, located within Admin > Clouds > New Cloud > Azure. When the 'Automatically Detect Plan Type' option is selected and the cloud bill or subscription type is unknown to the user, Ternary will make its best effort to identify the type from a known list of types.

We have added the ability to select “Last Month” as a pre-configured date range option, enabling a one-click selection of the previous month. Examples of where this new option appears include Cost Reports, the visibility pages under Resource Utilization, and Anomaly Detection.

We’re excited to introduce Ternary’s partner billing engine for managed service providers (MSPs). The MSP Billing Rules Engine enables you to re-rate costs per customer. With this release, you can create, apply, and reuse one or multiple rules to your applicable customer environments. Ternary automatically applies the rules, ensuring your customers have an accurate representation of their actual spend.
